ELLEN HUTSON LLC HERO ARTS CLEAR TAKE 'N MAKE

I made this card for Ellen Hutson LLC's "Take 'n Make" challenge as part of the debut of the Hero Arts 2012 stamp release.  Unfortunately, I don't have any of the new HA 2012 clear stamps......yet!  But, graciously, Ellen Hutson is allowing us to use any HA clear stamp.  I've actually had this floral stamp set for a while, but have never used it, so I was more than happy to dig it out!

Sorry the clear stamp sets don't show up very well :(

Here's how I did it:
The floral stamp was inked with various shades of Color Box Chalk Ink with a sponge dauber.  It was then stamped on white cardstock.  I immediately stamped it a second time on another piece of cardstock to get the "shadow" image of the flower. The brighter image was then partially cut out to adhere over the "shadow" image with 3-D adhesive dots - offsetting the images a bit. These images were then adhered to the green background paper, then onto the card.  Ribbon and Liquid Pearl embellishments were then added.  The sentiment was stamped with black ink and also adhered to the card with 3-D dots.

Thanks so much for looking!!!

  3. Lovely card. I like this technique and must try it. I had your link on my laptop, and once I returned home, got on my desktop, then had to hunt to find where I'd bookmarked your link! (ah, and I had a flash drive along, if I'd just thought to use it!). Ok, now I've found you, been able to join as a follower. On the laptop when I tried, no pic of me showed, nor link to my blog, so I wanted to wait until I could join 'properly'. Will be back to visit soon. Hugs & love your style of cards. TFS
