VINTAGE

This is a second card I made with that beautiful Hero Arts Leafy Vine stamp:
In all honesty, I can't say this is one of my favorite cards that I've made. Not quite sure what to think of it. I'm open to any and all comments/critiques!!

Here's how I did this one:

The Leafy Vine stamp was inked with Versamark, stamped onto the patterned paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. This was adhered to a white card base accented with strips of kraft cardstock and a white scallop border.

The flowers were stamped with 2 different background stamps inked with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. I LOVE how you can stamp on these Petaloo flowers!! The flowers were randomly arranged across the bottom of the card with navy pearls added as accents.

THINKING OF YOU

Well....so much for my goal to be more consistent in posting on my blog this year!!! It's been over a month since my last post, but I do NOT feel defeated! There's been some major changes in my schedule (finally am employed again after almost one year of unemployment) that have required me to re-prioritize how I spend my time. Unfortunately, crafting has taken a bit of a back seat for the time being :(

However, I do have a card I want to share with you. I finally purchased the new Hero Arts Leafy Vine  stamp - which I LOVE!!! I decided to play around with it a bit by stamping it on patterned paper. Here's the first card I came up with:
Here's how I did it:
I inked my stamp with Versamark and stamped it onto this gorgeous piece of patterned paper, then heat embossed wit with clear embossing powder. I loved the paper against kraft cardstock, so I used that as my card base. I inked a "word" stamp with Versamark, stamped it ont scrap pieces of kraft paper and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I punched a few butterflies out of the embossed paper.

The sentiment section is a scrap piece of kraft cardstock where I punched a butterfly out of it. I love the way the embossed patterned paper shows through it. The sentiment was cut on my Silhouette Cameo, affixed to a small strip of vellum, then applied to my kraft strip. This complete strip was adhered to the card with foam squares.

The final touch was the adhesive-backed flat pearls to the center of the butterflies and the sentiment strip.
