PATTERNED PAPER FLOWERS

Happy New Year!!! I pray that the year 2013 will bring you much joy and happiness!!

Well, this is the first post as a result of my new year's "resolution" to be more active on my blog!!! In a lot of ways, I was read to move on from the plethora of Christmas cards I made! The temperatures are cooler, and I'm already looking forward to spring! I have a Hero Arts stamps set ("Blossoms") that I've owned for a loooooooong time and never used! I figured it was about time to "shake off the dust" and give it some action! There have been so many beautiful cards posted on the Hero Arts Flickr Group that have been made with this stamp....and most of them using patterned paper. I have a lot of patterned paper scraps to use up, and thought this would be the perfect card to use them for. So, here's my card:
Here's how I did it:
First, I inked my stamps with black ink and stamped onto various patterned papers...then fussy cut them all out! I adhered them to each other with 3D foam dots.

I dry embossed an A2 size piece of white cardstock with the leafy branch embossing folder. I then dry embossed a piece of kraft paper with the 5x7" damask embossing folder and trimmed it to allow a narrow white border on the card. The white embossed image was adhered to the kraft image, which was then adhered to my 5x7" white cardstock base.

The flowers were adhered to the card base with foam dots to give it a dimensional look.

The banner strip was made by inking my sentiment stamp with Versamark and heat embossing it with white embossing powder.

And, finally, pearls were added to the sentiment banner for a finishing touch!

Here's my list of supplies"
