Lily Pad Cards Challenge - Vera's View

I made this card for the current challenge over at Lily Pad Cards. This photo was the inspiration:
And here's my card:

And here's how I did it:

I cut a 5X7" piece of kraft cardstock. Then, using my Silhouette, I die cut 12  .75" circles towards the left edge of the kraft piece. The empty space on the right side was embossed. (See supply list below.)

Then, I punched 1" circles out of different patterned paper. This allowed me to have some "wiggling" space to get my punched circles exactly where I wanted them. Again, using my Silhouette, I sketched the 12 circles on the front of a white cardstock base. This helped me to know the correct positioning for my patterned circles. I adhered the patterned circles to the white card base with glue dots.

Next, I adhered the kraft piece to the front of the white card base with foam tape to give it some dimension. Since I used the negative die cut for the front of the card, I decided to include some of the actual die cut circles for even more dimension. These circles were stamped with various stamps to incorporate different patterns. The circles were then adhered to the front of the card with dimensional squares.

Finally, the sentiment stamp was inked with Hero Arts "Cup O' Joe" ink (same ink as used on the die cut circles) and adhered to the card with dimensional squares.

Here's my supply list:
