For my card, I chose to use a Christmas theme. This is the time of year when I need to begin crafting for Christmas. Usually it comes upon me way too quickly. But this year, I feel a little more organized! Christmas is also a time of year when any card I make MUST reflect the true meaning behind the celebration - and that is the birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The forgiveness of my sins and the promise of eternity in heaven is the most precious gift I could ever want or ever receive. All that I am is only because of Jesus Christ!
Here's my card:
Here's how I made it:
I didn't have the right colored cardstock that I wanted, so I decided to color my own. So I swiped 4 sheets of 8.5X11 white cardstock with Distress stain and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. (See my supply list below.) After the paper dried, I stamped each color sheet with my Hero Arts cling stamp - which was inked with Versamark. I then heat embossed each stamped image with black emobssing powder. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all the images (the outline and colored inserts) as well as the sentiment. All was then mounted on a white cardstock base.
