My oh my....where has the time gone??!! Finally, I've had some time to sit down and "play"!! My crafting was inspired - and motivated - by the current challenges @ the Hero Arts Blog AND A Blog Named Hero. The challenge @ A Blog Named Hero called for using kraft cardstock. The challenge @ Hero Arts provided a choice of sketches to follow. Well, let me say that I LOVE anything on kraft cardstock! Lately, I've become addicted to patterned paper, so I decided to combine the two. The design of the card came from one of the 3 sketch choices on the Hero Arts Blog. So......here's the cards:
I'm not much of a "pink" person, but I loved the paper from the Glitz "Pretty in Pink" paper pad and thought it would look great with the kraft!
For both cards, I used my Silhouette to cut out the pieces for the 3D flower. I used 2 coordinating sheets of paper from the Glitz "Pretty in Pink" paper to make the 2 flowers. The circle backgrounds were also cut from the same paper pad. These were all assembled together and adhered to the kraft cardstock base. You can't really see it in the pictures, but the top card I lightly stamped the kraft paper with the Hero Arts "Flowers & Dots" background stamp (with white Color Box ink). The bottom card I did the same with the Penny Black "Paisley Outline" stamp and Versamark ink. If you look REALLY close, you can see the patterns! :D
Here's my list of supplies:
